Terms and Conditions

To secure your place/places on a trip we shall need a minimum deposit , this amount will depend on the duration of tour, bike hire costs and if you require us to book flights etc. Bookings are taken on a first come first serve basis.

A confirmation and invoice for your booking will be sent to you on receipt of your deposit, or any outstanding balance. Any outstanding balance due must be paid 6 weeks before departure date. Please make cheques payable to: Discovery Bike Tours

Bookings made after 4 weeks before departure will need to be paid in full. You are responsible for your motorcycle, riding manners and for any pillion with you. Valid motorcycle insurance is also your responsibility. You will require medical, cancellation, accident, illness and death insurance. Discovery Bike Tours will not be responsible for transporting your bike, you or your pillion to any alternative destination in case of accident or breakdown. You will need to take out your own motorcycle recovery policy for breakdown and accident. Motorcycle breakdown {mechanical}, any repairs or service will be the responsibility of its owner. You are required to ride within the legal requirements of a host country. Discovery Bike Tours will not be held responsible for any violation of these requirements. Disscovery Bike Tours also cannot be responsible for the manner in which you decide to ride the road or any traffic, road conditions. AEHIC card {application forms available from your local post office} will be required. This is an agreement within the EC countries and will enable you to claim back a percentage of any medical fees. UK passport holders need only a passport for visiting EC counties. UK passport holders must ensure that they meet all visa requirements for the non-EEC countries. Non-UK passport holders must ensure that they meet all visa requirements for the countries included in the chosen tour. If you decide to leave the tour for any reason, Discovery Bike Tours will not accept responsibility or refund any money. Where the acceptable minimum number of places on the tour is not reached, Discovery Bike Tours will offer you a full refund or a compatible alternative. We also reserve the right, in any circumstances, to cancel your booking, giving you eight weeks notification and a full refund of all monies paid, unless the circumstances are beyond our control. Refunds will not be paid in the following situations, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems to transport, closure or congestion of ports, cancellations or change to schedules by carrier ceasing to operate due to adverse weather conditions or other reasons and similar events beyond our control or where we cancel because you fail to pay the balance of you holiday cost. Any unforeseen delays in your ferry crossing to or from the UK, however caused are not the responsibility of Discovery bike Tours. In the event of a delay, any meals and accommodation will not be the responsibility of Discovery Bike Tours. If you are unable to take your place on a tour we can transfer your booking onto another person. However, we will need 2 weeks notification and £40 administration fee.

Discovery Bike Tours are not responsible for death, personal injury or any illness caused by activities in which a participant engages outside of the itinerary of the tour. Sometimes vegetarian diets can cause problems for the hotel. We will do our best to advise them on individual requirements; it is not always possible to meet everyones special dietary needs.

Discovery Bike Tours guarantees that in order to protect your money and in compliance with EEC Regulation [90/314/EEC] all payments received will remain in trust until your tour is complete.
